1. C besides包括在内,except和but排除在外.如：Everyone is at school, besides Tom.Tom也上学了.如果用except或but,Tom就不在学校上学.except for通常是排出某些无关紧要的细节.比如：整篇作文很好,只是有几个拼写错误.本题与此类似.
2. B despite和in spite of意思相同,都是“尽管”,都是介词,后面接名词、代词或doing.而in spite that后面接从句哦.本题中空格后是名词discouragement,这个名词后是一个修饰它的定语从句,从句省略了作宾语的关系代词that/ which.
3. A in turn反过来；by turns轮流,in return作为回报.
4. B dispose of是一个短语啊,意思是：处理、安排,解决,本题中相当于deal with呢.
5. A rule out消除,排除,划线隔开.
6. D A事与愿违,B不费力,C无缘无故,D无效果,无结果.
7. C 动词短语protect...from...的意思是“保护.免受.”,也可用介词against.名词protection也是后面接from,表示给购物者提供保护,免受夏天的烈日和冬天的风雨.
