应该是do,高中语法中,当but做“除了”讲的时候,要遵循“有do无to,无do加to”的原则,也就是说“We had nothing to do but wait”中,but前出现了do,but后的to就要省略.
同样there be/have nothing to do but……?中but是除了的意思,but前有do,那么but后的do就要省掉,直接用do.
高中语法确实是这样,至于那大学语法是怎么回事,我不太清楚……
