last 是坚持到最后.

二者都可表示持续的意思，last 一般是用来说明一个时间或者过程持续的时间，而survive一般表示经历磨难和挫折的坚持，在困境中坚持下来或者活下来的意思，例如在洪水中幸免于难就用survive
survive一般是指通过了一系列斗争最后存活下来的幸存下来的。而last 就是剩下来的。没有顽强的活下来啊这种含义。
